Each year, Black Kites start to arrive in Geneva area in February for the breeding season. Canton of Geneva is one of the places we can see the biggest numbers of Black Kites in Switzerland.

These fantastic raptors appreciate the presence of a body of water nearby, whether it is a river or a lake. Clearly not the best hunters of the animal kingdom, they seize every opportunity to feed.

In August, they all go back to their wintering grounds in Africa.

Love Nature.
