Blue-tailed Bee-eater (Merops philippinus) in Kerala, India. February 2015. Not baited. Not called in.

Here is the very colorful Blue-tailed Bee-eater (Merops philippinus), with its prey. I spotted it from a boat while on a cruise on the backwaters in Kerala, going from Alleppey to Kollam. It was far so the picture is heavily cropped, but we can still see the beauty of this incredible species.
