Golden-crowned Sparrow (Zonotrichia atricapilla)

I spotted this Golden-crowned Sparrow (Zonotrichia atricapilla) at the end of a great walk in Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park in Orange County. As any sparrow, the Golden-crowned Sparrow (Zonotrichia atricapilla) is part of the family Emberizidae. On this picture, I belive you can see a 1st winter individual. Its chest does not have the spots of a juvenile, and its forecrown is yellowish, not like the bright yellow forecrown of an adult.

Aliso Creek, United States.

Not baited. Not called in.
