A poor picture of a stunning bird. I spotted this Indian Roller (Coracias benghalensis) in Kumily, Kerala. It was pretty far and the midday light was pretty harsh, so that is the best shot I was able to get. Indian Rollers are often seen on wires or bare trees. They fly to the ground to capture their prey. They feed on arachnids, insects, amphibians and small reptiles.

Love Nature.
