Adult Spotted Flycatcher (Muscicapa striata) in Mallorca, Spain. May 2015. Not baited. Not called in.

Whereas juveniles have whitish spots on their back, adult Spotted Flycatchers (Muscicapa striata) have a more uniform plumage. They might seem a bit dull, but their feeding behavior is absolutely amazing to watch. Targeting insects from a high perch, they catch them most of the time flying, and return to the same spot.
