Velvet-fronted Nuthatch (Sitta frontalis) in Munna region, Kerala, India. February 2015. Not baited. Not called in.

Being used to the Eurasian Nuthatch (Sitta europaea), it was really nice to spot this Velvet-fronted Nuthatch (Sitta frontalis) with its bright vivid blue wings and red bill. This area was litterally full of birds!
