Western Water Rail (Rallus aquaticus) at Marais de Sionnet, Switzerland. September 2015. Not baited. Not called in.

The Western Water Rail (Rallus aquaticus) is a bird far more often heard than seen. This very slim bird spends most of his time in the reeds by freshwater wetlands, so it is always great to enjoy watching one in the clear, even for a few seconds.
