Bird counting for the DGAN

gobg-bird-counting-map

This morning I took part of the bird counting organized by the GOBG following the solicitation of the DGAN (Direction générale de l'agriculture et de la nature). Our GIREC (Groupe interdépartemental de représentation cartographique), which means basically the area we were in charge of, was the village I live in : Villette.

The goal of this study is to measure and predict the quality of different types of urban areas. So we took 3 hours to walk almost every street of the village as well as along the Seymaz river, counting every single bird we could see or hear. We had great observations, with a beautiful morning light. It was a real treat to be part of it.

Love Nature.
