Oriental Dollarbird (Eurystomus orientalis) near Thattekad Bird Sanctuary, Kerala, India. February 2015. Not baited. Not called in.

The Oriental Dollarbird (Eurystomus orientalis) is a stunning bird from the roller family. On our way back to our homestay after a full day in the Thattekad Bird Sanctuary, our guide gave us the opportunity to see this beautiful colorful bird. He knew his habitat so he brought us there and quickly found it. Amazing.
